Job Description:
About Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation
The Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation (JAJF) is a national 501(c)(3) non profit, treating children facing the imminent loss of their Mom or Dad to cancer to WOW! Experiences, a timeout to create positive, cherished memories at beautiful destinations.
At JAJF, we’re dedicated to treating the families, not the cancer — highlighting the importance of family centric cancer care as part of the complete treatment protocol. Each of our families is referred and prescribed to JAJF by one of our oncology partners; and for each WOW! Experience, we work with our corporate partners to create unique and thoughtful itineraries that give families the chance to create precious memories together… while they can.
As the only organization of its kind serving this overlooked population, there is a need to keep fighting the fight; there is also a need to keep fighting for cherished family time for these young parents who just won’t be saved by the next wonder drug, clinical trial or hope for a cure.
About the Role
JAJF is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional to join our "small but mighty" national team as a Partnerships Coordinator, WOW! Experiences®. This isn’t your typical 9-to-5. It’s a once-in-a-career opportunity to directly support families facing the unimaginable, children at risk of losing their young Moms and Dads to late stage cancer.
As the Partnerships Coordinator, WOW! Experiences®, you will be responsible for building relationships with both our oncology and corporate partners in order to create memorable itineraries for our WOW! Experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate indispensable family trips, also known as WOW! Experiences, as part of our family centric cancer care treatment
- Build and maintain heartfelt relationships with world-class oncology centers and hospitality and travel brands like Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Margaritaville Resorts, Universal, Disney Broadway, Hertz and Shutterfly
- Work remotely, collaboratively and with measurable purpose
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in partnerships and/or travel planning, preferably within the travel, hospitality or nonprofit sectors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously.
- An empathetic mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure. There is a lot of multitasking.
- A self-motivated team player who can balance working independently and collaboratively.
Benefits:
- Competitive Compensation
- Generous Paid Time Off
- Fully Remote Work Environment
